Notice anything new?

Phil brought Jessica home some handmade glass earrings from Italy. It was his way of letting her know she could get her ears pierced. She was beyond thrilled. It was too precious this morning when she confided to her dad that while he was gone she had blown on a dandelion (that had gone to seed) and made a wish. Her wish was that she could get her ears pierced, and that her wish had come true!! Kudos to daddy! She was so brave when she got her ears pierced. Her little eyes watered a bit after the first one, but she sat perfectly still til the second one was finished. The cute girl who did the deed, had told her it wouldn't hurt as bad as a shot. Jessica's first comment after it was over, was that it definitely did hurt more than getting shots! Phil and I have been commenting all afternoon that she looks older. I guess we're realizing that no matter how hard we try, we can't keep her little forever!
