The sweet Primary President in our ward brought by this delicious pie tonight for Phil with a little reminder (he's the Blazers teacher), and said it was from the "pie"mary. I thought this was a darling idea, not to mention the time and effort of making pies for each teacher... she is amazing. Though the part we're benefitting from the most is that Phil is out of town, and so the kids and I have the 'unfortunate' task of enjoying the pie all by ourselves! Phil left this morning for an international trip with his EMBA class. As he's off enjoying Switzerland and Italy, we're enjoying his pie :) The hardest part about him being gone is that we won't have any communication with him, and the thing I'm going to miss is sharing the fun, sometimes crazy adventures of our day with him. So you get that great honor of reading about our day, in the off chance he'll be able to log on and read what we've been up to! After we dropped him at the airport this morning, we headed off to Stake Conference... I was obviously up too late last night helping him pack to realize that I was severly outnumbered 3 to 1. We got there early to get a good seat (next to an exit- just in case). Taylor had to use the bathroom just as we got settled. This is where I'm glad Jessica is getting to be so responsible. She said she would stay with Tanner, so that I didn't have to lug all three of them to the restroom. The fact that my parents were sitting up with the choir did help to lessen the worry :) Off to the bathroom where when we walk in Taylor remarks loudly how badly it smells in there with people in two of the three stalls... as I'm helping him in the vacant stall, he got on the seat crooked and started going before I realized that none of it is actually going into the toilet, it is puddling on the floor running into the stall next to us! I frantically tried to clean it up, but most of it ran down the drain at the feet of our stall-mate. We got all cleaned up and back out to Jess and Tanner. Taylor then took off running through each of the rows of chairs set up in the Cultural Hall. I'm sure everyone entering looking for a seat was giggling to themselves as I chased him down. Luckily, my cute little brother Randy found us and was brave enough to sit with us, as Tanner had to eat about half an hour into the meeting. Once I returned, Jess and Taylor needed a drink. Randy was sweet and took them out to get one. To Taylor this was freedom, and he thought he could go and come as he pleased. At this point, Tanner had had enough of the meeting, and Jessica was giggling at everything Taylor was doing making the matter even worse. I threw in the towel and we headed out to the car to go home. I thought the kids would be relieved to leave... I put Tanner in the car and turned around to load in the others. They had gone around the side of the building. Jessica was trying to hide from me and Taylor was exploring the air conditioning/heating units. I started for Taylor so that he didn't get hurt and he started running. Jessica was yelling to him "Run, Taylor, Run!" as he rounded the corner on the opposite side of the building, I sprinted after him. By the time we made it back to the car, Jessica had locked us out. It took all my composure by this time not to make a scene :) Needless to say, we made it home and after some lunch, and naps (for the kids-mommy wasn't quite that lucky) we were all feeling better. My parents were so sweet to invite us over for dinner, and now that I've been fed and able to participate in some adult conversation, I'm ready for whatever tomorrow may bring....

Oh my goodness, I hope they are nicer to you tomorrow!!! Little Taylor sounds just like Olivia - just as mischeivous, I'm sure they'll be best buddies! Jess cracks me up, I had to laugh out loud at "run, Taylor, run!" heehee

Wow Rach! What a day! Do I really want to have kids? Hmmmm... :)
Your Sacrament meeting sounded like mine. I too had to brave it alone. Becca and Kate thought they were funny being naughty! I had two deacons laughing at mine. They thought that was great. I was angry and said. "Just wait. In a few years when you have your own, I'll be the one laughing." I hope Phil isn't gone too long. You're a nice wife. Call if you need anything. Jess can come play with Grace. We're off track.
