Pirate Party...

For Taylor's 4th birthday we had a Pirate Party, here are the new recruits!
(Maryn, Aftin, Taylor, Caden, Kaden, Evan)
We began scoping out our new "crew" over lunch...
We played several fun games: Musical X's, Mark the X (blindfolded to see who could get their x closest to the treasure chest), Peg Leg Pete (a relay race hopping on one foot), walking the plank (a crowd favorite), Cannon Ball Plunge, and a treasure hunt!
Here they were walking the plank, it was fun to see who was brave enough for a dip in Davy Jones' Locker...

The crew of the "Black Pearl"
Caden, Evan, and Aftin
The crew of the "Jolly Roger"
Taylor, Kaden, Maryn
"Cannon Ball Plunge" (cannon ball(oon) fight)
The "treasure" they found at the end of the Treasure Hunt.
Each of the pirates gave their best blows over and over... to our brave "pirate" but alas no treasure. Not to worry, Captain Phil saved the day by taking a whack at his good leg, and that was his undoing.
Treasure for everyone!
Afterwards, it was time for opening gifts. Then it was on to cupcakes and ice cream. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. My favorite comment was from Aftin after the pinata, "I'm going to have to tell my mom all about this!"...
Party a Success!!
Happy Birthday little Buddy!
