Being married to a State Delegate has its benefits! Tonight Phil was able to take Jess and Taylor to a
Salt Lake Bee's game (along with Jessica's friend Kaitlyn) thanks to Govenor Herbert, while Tanner, Tyson and I enjoyed a quiet relaxing night at home ;) Phil enjoyed being able to meet Governor Herbert in person. The Bee's clobbered Tucson 6-2, and the kids enjoyed every minute. I even got a t-shirt out of the deal.
I was also surprised this afternoon when Carl Wimmer, himself, stopped by to visit Phil. Phil was at work, but I had the opportunity to visit with him for a few minutes. I was very impressed with how genuine he was, and the effort he went to, to visit delegates at their home in person to deliver an article that came out in the Salt Lake Tribune (Sunday) which he felt important enough to get out to delegates before the Caucus on Saturday.
