Gaining Control...
In an attempt to regain control of my life, I have finally updated our blog. Unfortunately, I have missed out on fun little details, but the major events have been documented. I'm embarrassed to say that I had to go back to the first of October to get completely updated. I've made a few changes recently which are helping me find time for life's most precious moments, and some changes I haven't had control over, but even they have been a blessing. First, the hardest, yet best time management change I have made is... gasp! I've started drying all our clothes in the dryer. I use to air dry everything (not our underclothing :) and then iron it all. There are still a few items I just can't force myself to put in the dryer, but its minimal and I'm amazed at the time I have to do other things. I've also, tried to rearrange my day so that when Jessica gets home from school she can show me all her work and we get to talk about her day and look over her homework. As she is in the dual immersion program, it has been very time consuming and a little bit of an adjustment for all of us to get to where we can best help her learn Chinese. I have the opportunity to teach P.E. every other Monday, in Chinese! Which has helped me to add to my vocabulary and for me to get to know the kids in her class. With little adjustments in how I spend my time during the day, I've been able to feel as though I have a little more control of my life. The biggest change just happened and its very bittersweet. I was released last week as the Young Women President of our ward. I thoroughly enjoyed my calling, but with three small children and one on the way, it was good timing for a change. I have been serving in Young Womens for the past 7 years. I love the Young Women program, and now that I'm in Primary, its going to be a bit of an adjustment, but one I'm looking forward to. Here's to a New Year of enjoying the little moments that matter!
