Beating the Winter Blahs....

Or at least trying to... We went to the model railroad show at Thanksgiving Point over the weekend with our friends the Smiths and then met back our house for dinner and fun with the kids.
Our favorite were the Lego trains

We didn't manage to get out all the blahs, so we headed to Classic to try to wear them out!
Taylor and Caden racing them away...
Tanner climbing his way to the top to slide all the way back down and do it again, and again...

He loved mommy pushing him on the scooter. Okay his face might not show it, but he was loving every minute with mom!
Ellie was jealous of Tanner's "Barbie" skates :)

Thank you Alicia!! None of you are privy to this info as her blog is private, but my friend Alicia posted this idea and we just had to copy it. You can find details here. Though we jumped ahead to Valentines. They are window clings, made with fabric paint. The kids loved every minute of it. Jess and Taylor had friends over and they had so much fun making them, and then taking them home to put up on their own windows!

I even got in on the fun, and made one for my front door (the "Welcome" is vinyl and always there). I think we may have to do this every month to decorate!

Rach, you are so artistic, that heart looks professional:) I wish they had something like that "classc" place here, it looks like so much fun! Hope you get over the winter blahs soon! And if you don't.... you'll have to just come out here and visit us! Not that the sun has been shining much lately, but it would still be a change of scene...

It's so hard to keep kids entertained in the winter...you have some great ideas that I'll have to borrow! I'm glad you tried the clings...we're totally going to do it for each holiday too, I think. It's so easy and the kids love it!
