Day Trippers...

Phil was presenting at a conference at Utah State on Thursday, so the kids and I decided to tag along on the trip to Logan and hang out with Becky and family for the day. Becky was so sweet and had blueberry muffins awaiting our arrival. Taylor couldn't wait to play with Kaden Gary Stott Kaden Kaden up in Logan. He informed me that Kaden Gary Stott is Kaden's first name, Kaden is his middle name, and Kaden up in Logan is his last name :) Always up for an adventure we decided to take all of us on some errands for Becky's Mutual night that evening. We all piled in the Suburban, and decided we'd grab some lunch on our way out and head back to Becky's for consumption. Our first stop was Macey's Grocery Store, where Becky had Kyler and 13 pumpkins in one cart and I had the remaining five in another. Five kids that is! It was fun to see people stop and stare as we went by. You could tell they were silently counting the kids, looking at me with sympathy as if I had two sets of twins and a one year old tacked on the end. We got checked out and realized we hadn't thought through getting the pumpkins home. With strollers and gear in the back and every inch of the Suburban filled with bodies it was quite the feat getting all those pumpkins in the car. Our next stop was for lunch. We treated ourselves (Becky, Gary, and I) to Old Grist Mill sandwiches, while the chillens got square pumpkins at Arctic Circle. We dropped Gary's lunch off to him at his office and continued the drive back to Becky's. Passing a park on our way, the kids asked if we could stop and have a picnic. Being the excellent mothers that we are, we said of course, and piled everyone out and on to the two baby blankets we had in the car. This is where our adventure really began. I'll spare you of some of the details, but needless to say, they include a leaking (down the leg) diaper, an allergic reaction to lunch (poor Kamryn), throw-up, and screaming babies--did I mention we thought it was going to be a quick trip and neither of us had a diaper bag? Enjoying our lunch
Yeah! the tire swing... Superman!
Tanner thinking that's he's sooo big!
Becky and Kyler--another looker with those blue eyes!
We had such a fun time on our day trip to Logan. It made me wish we lived closer together!

Oh, Rachael I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh out loud! I'm so sorry things didn't go as planned, kids are good at that.

It's nice to be able to go visit with your sister. You guys will always have a fun memory. I wish I lived closer to my sisters too. I miss them.

Great pictures! You would never even know what a crazy day it was for you when you see how happy they all are and how much fun they are having! I love seeing Becky in some of them too - she look so cute and doesn't put herself in enough pictures on her blog! (same for you, although I know how it is always being the one behind the camera!) Love you!
