Last Thursday was one of those days that now I can look back and laugh at, but at the time it didn't seem all that funny. It was my turn for teaching preschool, and I had everything ready to go and it opened up my morning for making bread, as I was going to be teaching the Activity Day girls how to bake bread and wanted them to have some to taste. Preschool went well, but it left me rushing to get everything ready for my bread making extravaganza! My kids had choir after school, and due to another fun Thursday activity of getting their furnace replaced my cute friend wasn't able to get carpool as planned. This gave me 20 mins to get everything out to the car, the boys loaded up, the sweet rolls cut and rising, and to the school to get the kids. I was feeling a little rushed. Tanner wasn't cooperating. He wouldn't get in the car so after much persuading he finally got in, and I hit the gas to get us on our way. I neglected letting the door shut all the way and on my way out of the garage hit the door of the van, and crunched up the side of the garage. I couldn't get the door to shut and at the time couldn't think of anyone I could call to get the kids, so we sped off with Tanner strapped to his car seat as far away from the door as possible. I can't tell you how many people were flagging me down to let me know my door was open ;) Once I got to the school a friend helped me force the door closed so we didn't loose any kids on the way home. The bread making class went well and then we rushed home to finish the soup for the Blue and Gold Banquet. Thankfully, no one was harmed in the process of wrecking the car and the garage, just my pride. My sweet friend, who had asked me to help with Activity Days, sent me these beautiful flowers anonymously a couple days later. Totally made my day. The timing couldn't have been more perfect as I was starting into my second hour of scrubbing the floor from the glass top cleaner that Tanner and Tyson dumped over every square inch of the floor, on every rug, pillow, and all over the bathroom. It brightened my day and each day since. I am so grateful for such wonderful and thoughtful friends and good car insurance!

Wow, Rach...I think you deserve a break! Sounds like you're working way too hard! I'm glad you have good friends who let you know you are cared for.
Rach,
Sorry about your car/garage and your pride. But you sound like an awesome mom, neighbor, friend, activity girls leader, bread maker, and everything else. I don't know how you do it all. ...Watch out super woman here comes Rach!
Oh, I'm so sorry! Would it make you feel just a little better to know that I backed into our garage not too long ago not realizing the door hadn't fully gone up? I hate it when silly things like that happen!!! What a sweet friend you have.
