Natural History Museum

Being an employee at the U has its advantages ;)
Phil got a special invite to the new Natural History Museum
for us to attend prior to its big grand opening.
Its quite the impressive sight when you first walk in...
Caution: may cause vertigo!
The new museum was definitely an improvement from the old one.  It had fascinating displays and a lot of neat hands on things for the kids to do.  There was even a real live tarantula and ant environments they could watch...all behind the safety of plexiglass of course.
The displays were very well done.
There was even a kids area where they had lots of "costumes" the kids could put on to be all different types of animals.  Tyson chose a grasshopper ;)
The view from the top floor was impressive where you could see out over the entire valley.
It is definitely a trip we'll take again!
