For her Birthday Bash, Jessica had a, it's great to be 8,
and to celebrate,
they stayed out late...
Late Over.
We played night games, with a Halloween Twist...
Graveyard Treasure Hunt, Ghosts in the Graveyard, Witch Hunt (variation of Hide and Go Seek), and the ever famous Red Rover, and Duck, Duck, Ghost :)

For several of the games flashlights were required, so each of the kids got a new flashlight, and we got some neat pictures of them running around the yard.

After the games, it was time for the food...

Frankenstein's Blood to drink

Zombie Mouths (apples with sunflower seeds as teeth)

Bat Eyes (donut holes on a knife, dipped in white chocolate with a gummy lifesaver and black licorice)

Vampire Teeth (Bugles, and candy corn)

Ogre Eyeballs (vanilla pudding with gummy lifesavers, and black licorice, frozen in half of an Easter Egg)

Witch fingers (string cheese, almond slices)

and her Birthday Cake, pumpkin chocolate chip, with cream cheese frosting!!
Party favors were a trick or treat bag full of candy and surprises.
It was such an enjoyable night with all her wonderful friends. Phil and I were thoroughly entertained with how fun all the kids were. Eight year old parties are definitely easier to host than Four year olds ;)
Happy Birthday Jess!
Singing Happy Birthday...in English and Chinese ;)
