You have to say "Its not a tumor" with an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent to get the whole effect... Actually, its a schwannoma. I was diagnosed yesterday with one in my spinal cord. It was discovered a week ago by MRI (above picture), and I met with a neurosurgeon yesterday to get the prognosis. Which is good. It has grown enough to be causing me much pain, but surgery is scheduled for the 15th of December and after the holidays I should be feeling much better :)
This Thanksgiving I am so grateful for wonderful family who not only included me in their prayers but made sure my name was on the temple roles, numerous times, in more than one temple. Its hard to express how much that has meant to me and how truly wonderful they are. I'm also thankful for my health, good physicians and technology. I'm especially grateful for my wonderful husband who though worried has been my rock and greatest blessing. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season. Glad it's not a tumor, but sorry to hear that it has been causing you pain. Hope the surgery goes well and that you are feeling better in no time. Keep us posted!
I am so sorry you have to go through surgery through the holidays, or really anytime but especially during the holiday season. But I hope it definitely makes the pain you are in go away. I just happen to be reading this the day you are going through surgery so I will keep you in my prayers as well.
